“Employee rights are said to be valid when employers pressure employees into sexual activity,” Paul wrote. “Why don’t they quit once the so-called harassment starts? Obviously the morals of the harasser cannot be defended, but how can the harassee escape some responsibility for the problem? Seeking protection under civil rights legislation is hardly acceptable.”
WHAT THE?!
I want to see how many like Sailor Moon too :D
eeeyup

Okay, I suck at keeping up with this stuff. I ADMIT IT. So sue me. >_< *exhale* Now I’ve got that out of the way, I can go ahead and put up three days’ worth of stuff. I’ll do day five tomorrow; seeing as I posted Day One after midnight Sunday night this technically is Day Four.
Favorite movie, huh? Hard to say really. I am a sucker for movies; the only exception to this is horror/suspense. I never could enjoy someone scaring me, nor do I find any entertainment in watching some fake-ass people get killed mostly due to their own idiocy. I much prefer a comedy or a musical; if it’s both I’m in heaven. I’ll go ahead here and list (in random order) some movies that I never get tired of. They can all be my favorites. :D
- Ghostbusters
- The Princess Bride
- Back to the Future
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- Little Shop of Horrors
- Across the Universe
- Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
- Dogma
- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
- Most Mel Brooks movies. The man’s comedy gold.
- Most things featuring Adam Sandler. This also goes for Steve Martin, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, and Mike Meyers. There may be others; I’m not racking my brain too hard.
- Hairspray (both the original and the musical remake)
Wow, that was plenty. Next assignment.
Favorite TV show? Weirdly enough, that depends on my mood. I default to sitcoms because when I do turn on the TV I’m generally trying to block boredom and sitcoms don’t really require a whole lot of thought. I also enjoy game shows and some informational stuff (Discovery, TLC, etc.). I can say that I do, in fact, adore GLEE as a new show right now; I can’t wait for new episodes. My guilty pleasures? Nick at Nite, Food Network, and American Idol. (So sue me. I enjoy the music.)
Yay, two down! Here’s Day Four.
Asking me to pick a favorite book, much like picking a favorite ANYTHING, is difficult. I admit to being very picky and I won’t read something if it doesn’t catch me almost immediately. I can enjoy dystopian fiction (Brave New World, The Handmaid’s Tale, etc.), but I also have a assion for J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels. Dan Brown’s books featuring Robert Landon are also ones I like. A new author I have recently found and developed a liking for is Philippa Gregory, who wrote The Other Boleyn Girl as well as a bunch of other “royal fiction”. I have also read a few autobigraphies, the most recent being I Am Ozzy (by none other than Mr. Osbourne himself - well, not quite, he had someone help him, but you get the picture). Seeing as I plan to teach high school English, I suppose it helps that although picky, I can move between genres somewhat easily. I don’t much fancy romance novels though; I find most of them sickenongly unrealistic. And despite the fact I have never read a word of her work, I am an avid hater of Stephanie Meyer and of Twilight in general. I only had to see the first Twilight movie once, and it sickened me for the rest of my literary life. >_<
Well, there you have it. All caught up with the challenge. ^_^ Comment if you like. C’mon, you know you want to.
This one’s for you, Amanda :-D
Okay. I’m saying this right off the bat: I CANNOT CHOOSE A FAVORITE SONG. I just CAN’T. I am too much of a music lover for any of that, I can’t even give you a favorite song by a specific artist. Honestly. So to complete this one, I’m going to pull out my iPod and hit Shuffle. Whatever song pops up, I’ll post the lyrics to. :)
*drumroll* And the verdict is….
Do You Believe in Love? (Huey Lewis and the News)
I was walkin’
Down a one way street
Just a lookin’
For someone to meet
One woman
Who was lookin’ for a man
Now I’m hopin’
(Hopin’)
That the feelin’ is right
And I’m wonderin’
(Wonderin’)
If you’ll stay for the night
So I’m comin’
(I don’t wanna be lonely, baby)
(Please help me)
I wanna love you all over
(Do you believe in love)
(Do you believe it’s true)
(Do you believe in love)
Oh, your makin’ me believe it too
Now the feelin’
Is beginning to grow
And the meanin’
Is something you only know
If you believe it
Take my hand
And I’ll take your heart
Come on
Now I’m wonder
(Wonder)
Where does true love begin
I’m going under
(Under)
So I’m lettin’ you in
My woman
(I don’t wanna be lonely, baby)
(Please help me)
I wanna love you all over
(Do you believe in love)
Do you believe in love
(Do you believe it’s true)
Do you believe that it’s true
(Do you believe in love)
Oh, your makin’ me believe it too
(I used to have you in a photograph)
I’m so glad it’s changed
(But now I’ve got you and it’s gonna last)
Do you believe in love
(Do you believe in love)
(Do you believe it’s true)
I’m so glad
(Do you believe in love)
Oh, your makin’ me believe it too, yeah…
